Service Above Self

The Albina Rotary Club is a service-oriented club for people who consider themselves young at heart. The professionals that make up Albina Rotary membership are passionate about serving their local, national, and international communities. In Rotary language, our members put Service Above Self.

Albina Rotary members participate in service projects in the Portland area, as well as internationally, based on the interest of members. Examples of service projects include tutoring children, serving food at a homeless shelter, and participating in environmental clean up projects.

Rotary also offers its members the opportunity to travel to foreign countries. By teaming up with local Rotary clubs in a particular foreign country, Albina Rotary is able to leverage its resources and provide essential services to individuals in that community. For example, past Rotarians have built sustainable water systems for towns, assisted in micro-lending for small businesses, and worked in health clinics to distribute Polio vaccinations.

Albina Rotary Meetings

Each week, Albina Rotary hosts an informative speaker, who presents a topic of interest to the Rotary members. There is plenty of time before and after the speaker’s presentation to mingle, network, and enjoy delicious lunch.
